Do You Wanna Know A Secret?

Do You Wanna Know A Secret? starring Joseph Lawrence (Urban Legends:Final Cut), Chad Allen ("Star Trek:The Next Generation", "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman"), Jeff Conaway (Grease, "Taxi") and Dorie Barton ("Stark Raving Mad", "Dark Skies") is a story of six of college students whose spring break vacation turns into a murderous disaster.

Shot on the Florida coast and in the Everglades, this movie was ultimately lots of fun with tons of scares and some very cool cinematic shots. It didn't take itself too seriously, however ... it was our challenge musically to bridge the two worlds of a psychological thriller & fun teen horror movie.

There was an abundance of ambient creepy space needed that didn't call for a melody much of the time, so we relied heavily on analog synthesizers such as the mini moog & prophet 5 and unusual processing techniques playing against a tense ostinato pattern for these sections of the score.

In the portions of the score that relied on melodic motifs we quite often alternated between violins & piano being the primary voice of our mystery theme depending on the scope of the scene it was playing over.

We also utilized a wonderful small group of classical vocalists towards the climatic resolution of the film. Several of our songs were featured in the soundtrack including "My Undivided Nature" which played over the end credits. This was our second feature film with director Thomas Bradford and we had as much fun as we did the first time around.
