Spring 2006
Starr is in the process of completing a collection of solo piano works called "COMMON PLACES" which is set to be released later this year. The largely original improvisational project drawing on classical, americana and gospel influences also contains some new interpretations of familiar songs including ALBINONI'S ADAGIO, THE JAMES BOND THEME, LET IT BE and Stephen Stills' FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. After a year and a half of construction Starr and Jeff are happy to have their new recording studio / "artistic thinking space"! finished and fully operational... the new building was carved into the hillside overlooking the pacific ocean and has become an inspiring environment for creativity. The film, CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER WOMEN starring Helena Bonham Carter & Aaron Eckhart (Thanks for Smoking) which Jeff & Starr scored is due to hit US theaters in August. The film was written by Gabrielle Zevin, directed by Hans Canosa and it is currently creating a buzz at film festivals around the world.

In the world of movie trailers & film advertising ParodiFair's music can be heard in many high profile projects including "V" FOR VENDETTA, LAST HOLIDAY, FAILURE TO LAUNCH, AKEELAH AND THE BEE, CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN 2, RUNNING SCARED, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, ALIBI, WAR OF THE WORLDS, UNITED 93 and the NHL relaunch trailer.
Their arrangement and production of the JAMES BOND THEME originally recorded for GOLDENEYE which was included on Capitol Records release "THE BEST OF BOND.... JAMES BOND", was recently awarded a gold record.
